I don't think its funny...but I've never been one for racial slurs, regardless of the race. An idiot is an idiot, the color of the skin is irrelevant.

 

We don't even know what the audience member did to provoke him.

And it's OK for the black guy to call him a cracker...but Kramer says the "N"-word and gets shit for it?

no...the video starts off with Michael going off on him. We have no idea what the other dude said.

 

Lenny Bruce used to do a thing where he would walk on stage and say each racial slur a dozen times each. Once he was done he would simply say, "now that these words mean nothing I can go on with my performance and whatever I say is no longer offensive because it is just a meaningless sound"

This was in the 50s and he caught a lot of shit for it but the guy was truly funny and had a point.
