What kind of pay are we looking at for a guy starting out w/o any certifications? $8-10/hr.

Pay difference between franchised place vs "Dan's automotive?"

I am looking to make at least what I am making at my internship ($10/hr.). The only reason I was considering Firestone was because my uncle works there and it would be cool to work with him. But for a dealership, I thought you had to be certified.

I got a dealership job with no pro experience and the good word of a friend. Depends on the place.

Virtually everyone who adverts in papers wants two years. Ask around in person and you'll find a no-experience entry level position eventually.
