wisdom teeth?
yes 1 is impacted but no hope of speedy recovery here, my immuno-suppressent meds wont allow it so i just got to deal with it, all i got are like 40 vicodins and 4 refills ! so i will be quiete drugged up as long as possible!
I got mine pulled (4) about a year ago. vicodin and super ibuprofen cover it. don't smoke, drink though straws, or do anything that would cause heavy breathing. dry sockets are a bitch and take about a month to heal.
why not threw straws? i cant take ibuprofen, i dunno why docs just told me not to. :wtc: 30 more mins in going:crazyr:
I had all 4 pulled when I was 15. Five years later my dentist discovered that I had 2 more growing in (in one socket!). Had those removed too. My dentist, oral surgeon, and the periodontist I was working for at the time were all amazed. None of them had seen anything like it before. They all wanted pictures and x-rays for their files. I still have the two extra teeth in my desk drawer.
First surgery sucked balls - I was chubby faced, bruised, pained and bleeding for several days. Second surgery was fantastic. Went bar-hopping that night, didn't need any pain meds. Same surgeon performed both operations. It's kind of hit-or-miss as to how hard it hits you.

Are you sure you got Vicodin? Vicodin is Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen (Tylenol), but there's Vicoprofen that is Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen so you don't want to take Ibuprofen with it because then you're just getting too much ibuprofen.
otherwise, my recovery was pretty much a breeze. none were impacted and all 4 came out at the same time. some blood to soak up on the first day, but after that it was just keeping them clean.
