well technically not true as most farmers will wind up paying u a daily cash sum. every farmer i ever worked for gave me an option of paying me by the day or the week and we normally negiotatied payment in terms of daily not hourly, unless of course your a really large commercial farm then they tend to have books and everything

automatically harvesting fruit and vegetables that don't grow in consistent patterns is pretty friggin tough. there are machines to harvest certain types of crops, like corn and grain. but those grow in predictable patterns, and aren't as delicate as tomatoes or apples. inventing something to harvest tomatoes, or fruit off a tree is going to take waaaaaaay longer than five years.
if they could be doing more to detect forged documents, then they shouldn't really be complaining, now. whatever they're doing now is obviously not adequate.
maybe they can't fire someone under a suspicion alone. but once they have a suspicion of something illegal (in this case, isn't forging federal documents a felony?), they should be obligated to prove or disprove it.
they go to the extent they are required to check legality, obviously they know some are going to lie so im assuming they purposly dont check that hard. as long as there is enough provided documentation they are sastified. and no they dont fire them simply because of suspicions. i imagine that even though they are illegal they have some sort of workers rights where the business has to have proof and cant just guess.

maybe some of the the fucking homeless should get a clue and start picking some damn apples instead of doing the "poor me" act with shitty card board signs. They could do it with out being required to show residency, pick up a check and who knows maybe get there lives back on track. America doesnt need imported labor, it needs lazy basterds to get off there asses /rant
