or maybe ive been wanting this car for years now and have had my eyes set on it for the longest?? :dunno: nothing against subies, but i wanted refinement, although the power and AWD woulda been sweet. my previous car was an accord coupe, so i wanted something different, and again, not enough refinement. and the 330i would be way too exp. plus didnt wanna go german, and yeah maybe im an idiot for being biased but i dont care.

not saying at my age i can go all-out w/ "refinement", but for the money i think i got what i wanted. so, i win

You can get a 330i with all the options and 30-40k miles for well under what you paid. Same with a Legacy GT. It just mystifies me how people don't cross shop and make sure their car is right for them. The TSX is an awesome car but I've driven both 330i, TL and AV6 6 speed (all can be had for quite a bit cheaper with 30-40k miles) and it seems downright slow and plain compared to them.

I agree with you that everyone should cross shop. Keep in mind though that his car has 7.1k miles. That's significantly less than 30-40k miles. Of course the best deals can be had at the mileage range you suggest but sometimes people like to spoil themselves. At 7k miles, the car is almost new...and he skimmed a few thousand off the top.

It's not like cars of 50 years ago where a car going 100k miles was amazing. My car has 220k miles. It's a Honda, they last forever. I test drove a black/black 04 TSX with 60k miles and NAVI that I could've bought that day for $20k. This guy didn't even buy the color he wanted. I've been in many cars with 60-100k miles that had no visible wear on them, anywhere. Seems like an impulse buy to me.

hondata just loves fixing hondas tuning mistakes lately (i still firmly believe this is so people can feel a kick and the dealer can tell them "thats vtec")

I totally agree with you. Honda engineers aren't stupid, but the marketing people are.

well all of their new cars all have vtec switchovers that are way too high, the s2k was the first, then the rsx followed by the TL and TSX and they were actually going to make the variable turbo on the RDX kick in abruptly until the one american on the board (who actually put the engine in his accord) told them to screw off and make it like it should be made-- after going out and having fun one weekend in his new turbo k23 car.

:edi:

and oh yeah. buy it.

???

i wanted white ext. i said the interior, light leather wasnt what i originally wanted but no big deal

impulse buy?? and did you totally miss the part where i said ive had my eye on this thing for years now? true, i havent test driven the specific cars you listed, nor several others for that matter, but im not a mis-informed buyer

30-40k miles used? that aint bad, but as mileage gets higher theres more risk of just gettin somethin thats been dogged on 6,990 miles is great for me

geez calm down. i bought it cuz ive wanted it. you woulda done things differnetly. im not gonna criticize you if you were in my position, just be like 'hey good job. and i know youre happy cuz you did your research'. i did mine and im straight. and i know youre sayin your junk out of what im guessing to be some sort of care/concern, so i aint offended. now back off my stuff h:

im just disappointed in you because i like you and if you ever drive any of those cars you're going to wish you had bought one of them do you have any plans to mod the tsx?
