Default wireless gurus: question

is it true that if you have just one B device on a G router with other G devices, all will run at B speeds?

if it is a B/G router, yes the B device will run at B speeds and G device at G speeds.
if a router is G, it can handle B.

Depends on if you have an old or new router. Old routers this was true for some, but the newer ones can run compatability networks that support both.

I dunno but you should get rid of your poopy B device and buy my D-link G card that I haven't used in almost 2 years since I got a laptop with built in wireless.

My router is taking G and B and I do remember I had a laptop running on B while two others were on G. The G still sustained 54mbps while the B was running at 11.
