I have used superglue and it works just fine, in fact I keep a bottle or two in my emergency kit just in case

It does usually work for shallower cuts, but only shallower cuts. Anything deeper than 1/4" needs deep stitches to heal.

You can probably get dermabond at a CVS. It's what they used over my stitches when I hit myself in the head with a wrench. just barely missed my eye. So now I have a funny end to my eyebrow.

you have 24 hours from the time of the cut to get stitches. u heal from the inside out. id say by now its stopped bleeding. in the future keep it covered and elevated above the heart till it stops.
