I hope you layed the torn skin evenly to the other side. You want it to bind to the other side, but I'm sure you want it even.

If it's deeper than 1-3 mm, then it needs stitches to heal with minimal scarring.

If it's deeper than ~ 1/4", you will need stitches to heal.

My little girl cut the side of her eye open and we took her to the ER and they superglued it closed and sent us home, so i guess thats actually ok to use.

i wouldnt say its deep than 1/4". im gonna see how it looks tommorow night and then go from there.

Dermabond (which is the superglue they use in hospitals) is not the same as regular superglue. Regular superglue is methyl cyanoacrylate, dermabond is octyl cyanoacrylate. Regular superglue tends to irritate the skin and, in certain cases, cause burns as it sets. Also, if the cut is deep enough where you need deep stitches to hold the tissue together, you can't just use dermabond.
