Damn. Didn't you just buy this car? Does the car even attempt to start? Do you have any power at all?

It's odd that you could have started it and now it won't start immediately afterwards. I would check the battery terminals and make sure everything is hooked up correctly. If not, try to jump it.

it happend to me last night also we jumped the car and it seemed to be ok...this morning it satarted without any trouble but then whe I tuned it off it was dead. It tried to start it,and turn it would over for a second then everything went dead.....To the best of your knowledge would it be a alternator, timing belt, batery or loose ground... thanks

"dead" isn't the best way to describe the problem, but from the sound of it... I'd say you have some basic electrical problem. Could be battery, one/both of the connections on the battery, broken pos/neg wires, bad connection at the other end of each cable.

Dunno about up there in canada, eh. But we have some AutoZone type stores that will hookup and do a battery test and alternator test for free. If you got that up there, do it.

If you don't have that, then replace the battery with a new one. That'll at least eliminate a lot of possible problems.

well ad poorly as ive decribed the problem does it seem like an alternator problem, or does the alternator usually cut off power while your driving ?

If your car cuts off while you're driving then yes it could be your alternator.

maybe it just went out yesterday... if the alternator doesn't work then the battery will supply all of the power. If your battery had enough power you could drive it until it finally dies. then try to resart and boom no more power cause it wasnt recharging.
Maybe it's the battery.
Maybe you battery connectors are corroded did you clean them yesterday, if not try it.

Do your self a favour and bring it to a garage, they'll diagnostic the problem for you... but then again for the price of a towing over there you might as well just buy a neww battery drive it at your favorit garage.

soundz good although when we used the jumper it came up green indicating there was power coming from the battery
