1) Our active military is not even used to full capacity and if it was, 2) Our reserves can then be activated and if that's used then, 3) We could have a draft.

Even with all these super weapons... I dont think they will be used. No one... sane... wants to blow up the world.
exacly, i think those weapons wont be used... and they shouldn't. in any case even if the US military decide to say nuke a country because they are about to lose a war, the UN and hopefuuly the rests of the develloped country would be against it and will cause the US to lose alot of it's global power.

Actually Epoch's post is what will eventually be USA's weakness arogance will be the reason why USA will lose it's global leadership.

Don't you know the aspects of power for a superpower?

1) Land power
2) Sea power
3) Air Power
4) Space power

The US has all those covered. Besides land power, the other powers are means to project US power without the use of troops. If things to awry in NK, we send carriers, battleships etc who are carrying long range missles and aircraft to go in. We have space power to guide missles and planes more accurately to reduce incidental destruction of aircraft from SAMs because of needless reconneisance.

The US is a super power if the UN wants them to be or not. I think they whole organization is so full of itself, unless the US will suffer financially, it will do whatever the hell it wants regardless of what anyone thinks.

oh i am not saying you aren't powerfull... of course you are! you are the most power nation in the world. no doubt about that.

BUT it is possible that in the future the rest of the world, not near future i agree, could change on you. It's not a secret that laready the reset of the world are starting to change the relationship toward the USA.

all powered by money. all the "barbarians" are waiting for is a financial collapse (which is very possible). without the money to purchase fuel to power its ships, planes and all its other super-tech machines, the playing field is even. maybe even tilted to the "uncivilized's" favor.

but is the US prepared to beat those enemies with sticks and stones if necessary.

albert einstein predicted WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones, is the US prepared to fight the "barbarians" fight or will it pay ransoms to avoid being sacked.

Eintein also never figured out a correlating equation between gravity and electromagnetism so his WW4 prediction is wrong.
