Apparently not. I think what happened was some confusion in the sale. I originally sold it to Craig, but he found something wrong with it...so I took it back. I think somewhere in that time I lost the transfer of liability somewhere...and I no longer have any of the 2nd buyer's contact information.

Yeah, but dirtbikes never get pulled over and have their registration checked. If I don't pay it, it gets sent to collections in my name.

i had that same problem with a volkswagen i totalled and sold to some guy who tinkered with them..he never registered it in his name and sold it to a junkyard who didnt know what i was talking about..i just went to the dmv and filled out some kind of affidavit saying the vehicle is no longer mine..

I sold it last June I think.

Means he is held responsible for it, kind of like how your parents are responsible for you until your 18 h:

And if he lets it expire and it goes to collection, it makes him look bad, and just fucks with him...

Go to the DMV, tell them the situation, raise hell, if not, drift the s2k around the building till they give in h:
