Sure. That amp is fine. You just wont be using its full potential.

And just because a sub is said to handle 150 watts doesnt mean you can only feed it 150 watts. You can feed it more or less :dunno:

And if you want something that will "thump hard"...more is better :run:

but the more i give it the closer i get to the max and the closer i get to that the quicker i wear it out and fry it. the rule of thumb is to supply a sub with atleast 70-80% of it rms the closer you get to its rms the better it will sound. I currently have one sub with 170rms amp

Where did you get that rule of thumb from?

The only way you are giving it max power is if you set the gain correctly and have it on MAX volume ALL THE TIME. Otherwise, it isnt even getting close to 150 watts.

Where did you get that rule of thumb?



How do you figure that giving it its RMS will make it sound better? How do you expect to constantly feed it 150 watts? When your volume is very low, are you still giving it 150 watts? When you volume is at 50%, are you still giving it 150 watts?
