have you tried explaining it to her in a manner in which a girl would understand? Or have you just yelled at her about space and expected her to understand you want a happy medium? The way I approach talking to girlfriends about such topics, is treat them like small children..you have to be very direct and speak in small words and make sure they understand perfectly and that they dont have any questions. Then take them out for ice cream.

If she really loves you, and you both truly discuss it like adults, she should understand. There's nothing wrong with her missing you and vice-versa, but every human being needs to be alone sometimes. And when I say sometimes, I mean there are times during the day that I like being down in my basement working on my bikes or out working on my car. Every second of her and your day does not need to consist of you and her on the phone. Luckily, my girlfriend is asian and likes cars just as much as me and likes to talk about them

it's normal dude... this girl has mad love for you. She needs to feel loved too. make her feel like you miss her but you are busy, when talking on the phone be nice, give her some attention dont be watching porn and shit while you talking on the phone. let me ask you this, you like this girl right? ever felt like she isint giving you enough attention?
