Drive in what? I'd have to fly or take a bus or train. Then I would need to find a mechanic to take it to, providing I find one I like.

Be your own mechanic, bring a compression tester and check the condition of the spark plugs (discoloration) and you'll know enough about the engine Then check the ball joints.

How much does it cost to take a car to a mechanic and have them "check it out"? My grandfather did that once with a Stanza he bought and the mechanic couldn't find the leaking head gasket that I had to fix last year.

drive the teg? bring a friend and have him drive your car back or if you have to sell your teg 1st get a friend to drive you there.

My mechanic charges 77 after everything. Body damage, frame, engine, interior, fixes, suspension, exhaust, emissions. Full 90 point inspection.
