Acting tough is needed around here. If you let your guard down, your chances of getting picked on goes up. And yea, theres always a reason that they behave that way.
And behavior problems is the main thing I deal with all freaking day long.

i don't know how bad oakland is..the bad parts of long beach are pretty horrible and i try to stay away from those schools as much as i can. i subbed at one school in a really bad part of l.b. and when i walked in the class, the teacher had in big bold print. WARNING. LOTS OF BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS IN THIS CLASS. thats the worst thing to see as a sub. i shouldn't have taken the warning lightly. i thought i did a pretty good job until i found out they stole my wallet from my purse and took all my money. never found out who did it..

Ouch. The school I work at isnt horrible. It was 100x worse 8-9 years ago when I was in middle school. But it isnt a great school by any means. The neighhood is full of crime. And I spotted like 3 drug dealers in a 3 block radius. :ugh:
