should i buy this?
its probably not a bad idea to save the money and buy them, but i think like nightshade is saying, you shouldnt make it all you eat. if you dont have time to get some veggies and fruits for the day, grab a bar

im not great at packing things. im actually horrible, lol and so thats why i always go to the cafeteria here at work to make my own sandwiches from lean meats and lots of veggies. bleh, i just saw this as a possible solution to a "dilemma" ive always had.

Nutrition bars are meant as a supplement for an already healthy diet. What you are doing is the equivelent of eating those bulk supplements in place of a healthy diet or regular eating habits.

ok, one thing, these will not be all i eat for the next few weeks/months. which is why i was saying they better have a decent shelf-life
and what would you consider to be a 'healthy diet'? i actually eat 4x's a day. breakfast is either a banana or half a wheat bagel teamed w/ cereal. lunch is that sandwich deal, or unless my coworkers feel like going out somewhere else. before the gym i'll usually have a peanut butter sandwich w/ multigrain bread and another glass of milk (all my milk is 1%), and dinner is either like pasta, chicken stuff, or korean crap i make. i dont see how that would be considered unhealthy. i know i can improve, but time and money arent exactly luxuries i have. if anyone has any better, more effective ideas for a decent, pre-workout eat then im totally open to suggestions.

Peanut butter sandwich and glass of milk before gym. Yeah you get some protein and a little carbs, but are you starving your body for the workout? what I mean is not to stuff yourself but a constant healthy snacking through the day is a better eating plan than three big meals.
I am sure you know the easoning behind this, and if you are as serious as you say you are about working out you should already have this as part of your eating/workout regiment.
I am not putting you down I am telling you to reevaluate if you are actually doing al you can in order to maximize your workout results. Buying fruits and vegetables is not that expensive to do and to eat them is even easier...walk to fridge...grab fruit or vegetable...wash off and eat. No empty calories or unburnt carbs left in your system to bog it down later, natural sugars for energy which are much longer lasting than the aded sugars contained in a bar such as Clif...overal a much much better choice. The only thing it lacks is a percieved conveniece factor that is marketed to you.

k, so im definitely not going to buy the 192 case, lol. what i will end up doing is try to figure out a better eating schedule. i'll try to pick up on regularly eating more healthy snacks like them fruits for starters. if any of you guys have any good suggestions for snacks or even meals that you like, it would really help me out in terms of switching things up. i can get settled into a mundane eating routing pretty easily, so fresh ideas would help me out a lot.
Pick fruits and vegetables you like and will actually eat, nuts, raisins and things of that nature...maybe some trail mix (do bulk bin not pre-packaged).
Get a smll soft sided cool bag and store items in there so you can grab it as you like. Juice, water, and anything not soda is a big plus as well.
Minor suggestions but it may help some.
