Of course. Theres a big difference in what can be said at work and what cant. And I agree that any of those words shouldnt be used in a professional setting. But aside from that, maybe using this forum as an example...I say the word n-er should not be used to refer to a black person simply for the historical context of it. And yea...history is history...let it go...history card...whatever. The past shaped the present and will shape the future.
Racism still exists heavily today...whether it is out in the open or not, at least lets not deny ourselves of that fact. Maybe it would be nice if racism didnt exist and we can call everyone n-ers, crackas, and chinamen...but that aint happening here.
Anyway...I feel AOL should have pulled that article. I dont think that word has any business being on their page. But whatever.
