Yeah I am a bit north of you in Oregon or I would definitley take you up on that offer.

Like I said I am gonna run down and get a new card and reader and see if I can't reformat off the comp and if it works I will be happy, if not i guess a 1dMKII is in my future

That camera is a beast! It also has a hairline trigger. It'll take a while to get used to it. When I shoot, I don't like going on camera flash, so the 1dMkII picks up a LOT more light. It's amazing to go into photoshop and boost up the levels. Amazing camera.

Yeah I have been eyeballing it for sme time now just really wanted to wait until I could get an expense account for it. Looks like I will have to liquidate a few assets and just do it now.

Worst possible time too since I am knee deep in the buggy and just paid off a hospital bill both of which I was budgeting real close for

I have one but hardly use it, I stopped using it about a year ago except in emergency and rarely at that.

The overall reliability of the camera is good but not perfect. During lots of rapid shooting over the course of the initial 500+ images I experienced one corrupted image and one error 02 ("CF error, recoverable", basically a file system problem on the card). In the next thousand or so photographs I didn't experience a single error, so I have to attribute those two errors to the intentional abuse. My suggestion for now is to avoid over-running the camera's nine-shot buffer.
