Nope can't do that unless the error is cleared.

Yeah the error 99 codes are fairly easy to clear up. I have had the infamous "Sigma lens" error99 issue for a while and I would just switch to a different lens for a while and keep on going. Once I got the repair on the lens Sigma was offering it has worked fine since.

Error 02 is a bit different since I can't do anything with the memory cards currently either in camera or on comp. I am going to go pick up a new card reader and another card just to see if either fixes the issue.

You probably already ran into this:

There is a problem with the CF card. Please perform one of the following actions:
a) Remove the CF card and then reinstall it.
b) Format the CF card.
c) Try using another CF card.

Sounds like you should just shut the fuck up

It has been dependable dumbass, I have been shooting on it for a little over two years and something close to 40k +/- images in varying conditions with no issues until now.

Yep did A and C but I need to get a new card reader so I can do B since it won't let me format in cam and my card reader is acting up on me as well (hardly use it really)

If you're in West L.A. you can stop by my studio and play with it there. We have a shit load of cards 256 & 512's. Sometimes re-formatting on a Mac seems to clear shit out. When we go to Raleigh N.C. we take 400 CF cards, and I reformat them on a Mac, then each of 12 photographers formats their bunch again before they shoot, to make sure nothing in their camera will make it go ape-shit before the shoot. My boss has a bunch, and may be able to figure out what it is.

Try switching it to a different USB port. From my experience, not all USB ports are built the same. h:
