If you get the pan hot enough with enough butter, you can dip the bread in syrup. The inner lining of the bread will make it taste like french toast.

Butter both sides of bread, toss in pan after cutting out center. Let it toast lightly then crack egg in center. Once the whites are hardened for the most part and the other side is how you like it, flip it till whites aren't runny and bread is toasted how you like it. Then you can dip the toast and center into yoke.

Get the pan nice and hot. Throw a good amount of butter in the pan, but don't let it burn. I take two pieces of bread and put them together, then take a cup small enough to get a nice center cut out, then gut the bread.Put the bread in and let it sizzle a little then crack the egg inside. Turn down the heat just a little and let it cook. Check underneath til brown and slighly krispy, then flip. It won't fall apart. Let the majority of the cooking be on the flip side. You'll have a nice runny yolk, but you want the white part to cook all the way. Last sunday, I chopped up some sausage in it too. It was rude.
