I had some bum come up to me in SF once and start telling me that I must be a marine because of how proud I looked. He then started telling me that he was a vetran and needed bus money. I gave him all the change I had, and he cursed me out and stormed off. I only had 37 cents on me fucker

When I had my business and one of side jobs was planting signs in the ground for construction sites, I would pay my son $15 for each posthole he dug, they had to be 4' deep and big enough for a 4X4. I had about 10 to do one day total of 20 holes, my son couldn't help me, and when I left the sign shop there was a guy standing there with one of those "Will Work for Food" signs, so I told him I would pay him $15 for each hole he would dig, and feed him lunch. His answer was "Just give me some money I can't do that kind of work." I told him to piss off, ended up putting all the holes in the ground myself in about 4 hours. The beggar would have made about $150 in two hours and had lunch thrown in.

I have had pretty good luck with helpin out bums.

the other nite walking back from the bar I had about half a sandwhich and some fries in a doggie bag and this homeless guy was just chillin pickin up cans n shit. So I offered it to him, and you would have thought I gave him a million dollar bill. He was genuinely grateful.

The other one was a guy who was sitting in front of the liquor store with a sign that said "Please donate a dollar to the United Negro Pizza Fund" I thought it was clever so I tossed him a 5 spot.

i must admit i've had good stories...

i just took a sticker off my windshield the day before.. this bum insisted on scraping every bit of it off for me. So when i went to go get my cigs in the gas station as he was washing my window, i picked him up a pack of smokes and a coke. he was so happy... and said that he wished more people did that for him instead of just ignoring him and leaving him to "fight da streets on mah own"... if i member correctly his name was tom.

When I was in Miami a couple months ago this bum approached me and asked for any money I could spare. I never really carry cash so I told him "Sorry, I don't have any change or anything." So then I continued walking down the street and I saw $2 wadded up on the ground that someone had dropped. It only seemed fitting that I go back and give him the money. It was like a sign or something. h:
