My girlfriend of a year & a 1/2 passed away on Feb. 12 this year. I think I would be handling this loss slightly better if I didn't wake up next to her, and realizing she was dead. I could use any advice or anything, b/c I this is killing me...This is my 1stpost since she died...I've just at a really low point, so any words of wisdom (on how to cope a bit better, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

whoa man...sorry for your loss. so sad...she was so young
if it's really hard for you, you might want to think about therapy. that's gotta be a pretty traumatizing experience

Damn man, I really hate to hear that. I've been with my fiance for about that amount of time, I'd hate to have that happen. There's nothing that you can really do that will Help a lot. Just praise her life, live for her, and let time take care of the rest. Talking to somebody at your church might help some. Take care man, it'll be okay.
oh man.
Please realize, this is the way she would want to pass, next to someone who loved her very much.
Don't let the tragic discovery ruin the many memories. Celebrate the life, cherish the moments, and live knowing you made her life better.

I'm sorry to hear that
Mourning is natural, so you shouldn't be in too much of a rush to get over it. It's not unusual for it last several months, especially if it's someone close.
If it's bad, talk to friends and family, or seek counseling.
