Uhh, if its within a year, take it to the Apple store... I went through 5 10GB 3rd gens back in the day, and they always just handed me a new one, no questions. I now have a 60GB Vid that I love, no problems. People just spew garbage about them being so terrible and all, but those people are just uninformed. Apple care is pretty good to its customers.

what sucks is, best case, i get this taken care of, and i get a new mini, or new battery, etc...
but then what about in another 9 months, if/when this shit starts happening again, and it's out of warranty?

On that other note, go buy the damn Applecare. Its like $30 and it covers you for another full year.
