I dunno why people are asking, "whyd they steal that"! People steal cars for certain reasons. Maybe someone was looking for stock Sentra parts? Maybe someone stole the car for a joyride. I mean just a couple years back a 1991 Camry was on the top stolen car list

My point exactly. It's a car...they're going to steal it regardless. I know they can flatbed it. But i tell you...that's alot more work then breaking the glass and hot wiring the car. If it gets you from point A to point B they will steal it

Exactly! Don't let that persuade you from getting the car you want. The easier a car is to steal the more they get stolen. Thats why 2000 and below hondas, toyotas, and 1/2 ton pickups are so popular. A theif could steal either of those in less than 5 mins in broad daylight without most people noticing. He will be less likely to spend 15 mins bypassing alarms, and immobilizers.

If i was out stealing cars cus i needed a fast buck...I would steal the easier car first knowing that even though i can get less money for the easy car...there's less work which equals less chances of getting caught. I know people who steal Bikes...and knew a girl who use to steal cars...they'll tell you...it's easier to steal something that's easy...then something that's harder...

I say get the car you want, but allocate funds for a proper alarm and tint so when you do get it, it gets done right away. That little blinking light will help to keep ppl from wanting to even touch it in the first place. It may not stop them all, but it will stop some.

Absolutely get the car you want. No matter what, some dumbass thief will take what they want. Make sure you get full coverage, as well as gap coverage. Cover your bases, and you'll be fine. Document what is in the car with receipts just in case.

why aren't the cops looking for it? what's insurance had to say?

clear this stuff up before you even consider getting another car. i assume the cobalt is a rental?

anyway, where it was stolen, was it by any shops? did you talk to shop owners to see if they saw anything?

that sucks, man.

Philadelphia cops dont care about shit in lack of better words...they dont look for cars...Officer even said if they "stumble" upon it then he'll give me a call

Insurance just said i have to basically wait 30 days...after 30 days it's considered totaled and they'll just give me the value of the car...and the car was in good shape...oil cleaned every 3k miles...so i looked and i can get about 8k for it...i took out a 10k loan...and ive been paying on it since...november...so i'll prolly owe bout 1k at most.

There was a store across the street but they said they saw nothing of course or heard anything.
