I fucking hate car theives. My sister got her car broken into and her stereo stolen a few days ago in her high school parking lot. What sucks is it's my old stereo that I paid about $2500 for. It was a couple of years old but it was still in good shape.

Fucking car theives suck

RSX + Broken window + Hot wire = DENIED!!! Plus by the time the PC get's in...alarms will be blaring if a kid bumps into the car by accident...there's gonna be like 10 back up batteries
break the window, pop the hood, cut the battery. :hs:

I'm with Hambone on this. If someone were to steal a Sentra, why would they want to stop at an RSX? Even if you do get an immobilizer, you'll be paying for new windows every other month.

People also use flat beds to steal cars. Not every jacked ride was hot wired.

Yea im aware of that as well...But the way i park in my complex...there's always someone behind me or in front of me cus we have to park on the street. But i would rather have broken windows then have a stolen car. Also i know it's not fool proof but battery backups are very helpful if they try cutting the power.

a corvette was stolen here. the thief took it on a flat bed. it was seen on the flat bed, the day it was stolen. the owner was very lucky!

i dont think the thief was specifically looking for a sentra, he probably did it on an impulse. with high prices on just about anything anymore, people will steal anything. i think the ins. co will cover your car even if its not recovered. some cars that are recovered, its not worth getting them back. the insurance isnt likely to restore it. just give u what its worth after they deduct the damage. that happened to a friend's jeep. it was recovered and stripped. he got a shell and a lousy check. he still owed money on the jeep.

Jae, I'm not saying anything bad but you have to think about it...

Your 2K2, non SE-R, Sentra got stolen. I'm sure that everyone's first reacton was that sucked big time. The second reaction was "who'd steal that?".

Anything short of a Kia > 2K2 Sentra 1.8

If you get a RSX and you hook it up, know that your RSX is going to be the biggest car-theif bait parked on the street no matter what alarm system you put in there.

I'd just hate to see you post up in a few months "My car is stolen Again" or "My windows got smashed for the 3rd time."

glass ain't cheap. It's about $300 for one of the side windows, + install fees + damage to the ignition + damage to the dash + whatever they fuck up. You can't keep reporting these to insurance too, they'll drop your ass after the 2nd claim.

I had a car TOTALED because of break in damage.

Jae, even though they don't take the car they'll damage all sorts of stuff.

I saw the damage to e3NiNe's former car, and it was horrible. They wrecked the door lock, they tried to pry the door open with a pry bar, they broke the glass, they used a hacksaw on the dash to get to the radio, screwed up the interior paneling, mauled the glove box, tried to steal the air bags. There was other damage that was completely senseless, where they just wanted to f-up the car.

and that was while it was parked overnight, at a suburban dealership, in a very good neighborhood

I don't think that you're really listening to everyone telling you that buying a RSX isn't a good idea. There's not much more we can do to convince you.

Jae, go get yourself that RSX. Some lessons you can only learn the hard way. :dunno:

I do hope that your insurance does cover the entire loss. What does your insurance agent have to say?

I get what everyone is saying...but what's the difference between me getting a RSX to a Elantra...as just shown...if its a car...they will steal it. Cant say well they'll look over a sentra to get a RSX...they'll get whatever is easier..and a sentra is easier...lesson has already been learned...shit happens...just gotta deal with it
