Drive a high hp car, and a high hp rwd car, and come back and tell me it's a waste or stupid, and not fun. You haven't, so you have no basis for your judgement. That's why you're wrong, and you're stupid. There is absolutely no reason that this car can't rip around a road course still. "Power delivery would suck coming out of a corner" isn't enough of a basis to say that, or that it's a waste...and neither is your experience in driving cars.

DAWT.
So it wouldn't lag hardcore? I mean controller or not, isn't it still a physically big turbine to spool up, a boost controller is just an adjustable wastgate no? I won't say management would be a problem running a different boost level, seeing as it has a MoTec system which is pretty high end. But how much lower can you boost it and still have it work efficently, the article says on the low boost level for the 700hp rated turbo it makes 384 hp and runs 13's. I thought having a huge turbo pushing low boost is bad because you're just wasting all the boost venting it through the wastegate and you still get the big turbo lag. Isn't even that power level pushing the stock suspension and chassis, even though they are very good stock? It seems like the guy is taking it in a direction made for pure drag racing, don't you think he'd at least have a tower bar? He'd have a smaller, quicker spooling turbo if it was meant to see a road course. I don't think the guy is taking in a direction where it's meant to see many corners, and I think that's dumb because that's the car's inherent strength.

Something that's either slow out of a corner, or snap oversteers because the power comes on sudden and hard would take some of the fun out of it undoubtedly. But I guess you are right, it would still be a fun car to drive, even if I would do it differently if I had an S2K. That is fun given you managed to keep the right end facing forward, which would be an exciting challenge in itself, whether the car is set up best to tackle a road course or not. Point taken. h:

WTF does a strut tower bar really do...honestly...not much.

As for the lag, obviously on a road course you're going to be at a high rpm for exit, so it wouldn't lag a whole lot. Even if it did, it'd still be making power.

Well, I meant the strut bar more as a representation of his direction with the car, not so much what it does. h: They don't have a stock one?

But the turbo still has to spool back up, I mean like I said before, the power out is going to be lackluster, although there, then when it spools it's going to be ridiculous making precise control difficult when putting power down to exit. With a smaller turbo it's not as much of a problem because the spooling is faster and when the power hits it's not as huge of a difference. This is where it would excel N/A because the throttle is easier to manipulate because the response is the same all the time because you're sucking from atmosphere which is at a constant pressure, unlike a turbo which does not feed a constant pressure into the engine at all times. Then again once you were on the straight, coping with this would pay off, and those big brakes are the perfect complement. A misfiring system would fix this problem, that's what I would do with that car. Then I'd use it on the street to make people's ears bleed and show off the fire coming out of my exhuast for an actual legitimate reason. h:
