I looked at the eclipse and I didn't really like it, but I'm looking for another sporty 2 door under 9k. Any ideas?

Since this whole escapade is driven by the need to find a cheaper insurance rate, I'd take a look at cars that aren't as popular with thieves.

Here's a random list of cars I'd look at:

* Acura CL (96-00) (2.2 or 2.3; 3.0 is still up in the teens)
* Honda Accord Coupe 4cyl (97-01)
* Mazda Protege MP3 (99-01; Yes, it's a sedan... look at one anyway)
* Mazda MX-6 V6 (95-98)
* Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS coupe (96-00)
* Toyota Solara (97-99)

DSM's have shit suspensions too, the one I looked at had a beam axle rear and strut front. Honda front and rear double wishbone > DSM ancient set up.

To clarify, Acura CL specs are as follows.

1997 Production starts, not 1996, was 2.2CL only
1998 3.0 V6 is offered, engine gets bumped to 2.3 liters (F23)
1999 Carries over unchanged
2000 No CL produced
2001 2nd gen is introduced

And insurance on the Scoobie 2.5RS's is high.
