I lost my weight with good diet and exercise. Even with how overweight I was, it still came off slowly. I guess it will be easier to keep off when it comes off slowly.

your body doesnt know what time it is so u can eat at night. just dont eat 24/7.. water helps to flush out your system and aids in circulation and fat burning. gets off the sodium bloat.. most of us r dehydrated so we eat instead. eat an apple or 2 before each meal that helps even out your insulin levels and helps burn fat.

the 1st 10lbs or rapid wt loss in the beginning is usually water. try to lose it slowly 2lbs a week to keep it off. just be consistent in what u do. get the form down correctly on the lifting. eat when u r hungry and cut the portions if they r large. avoid 'the whites' sugar, flour, bread, potatoes, mayonaise, salad dressing, pasta, gravies. stick to foods that go around the perimeter of the grocery store. egg whites, 2% milk or less, yogurt, whole grain breads ( ck the label, the fiber content of 4 to5 gm or more) any less, is caramel colored white bread. sweet potatoes, wheat pasta, beans and nuts. complex carbs r what u want, they r harder for the body to break down. avoid processed meats bacon, lunch meats, go with lean cuts chicken, fish, turkey. broil bake or grill.. watch the condiments. mustard not ketchup. salsa instead of butter. cook in olive oil. u will feel better when your diet is corrected.

be consistent in your exercising. cardio everyday if u want wt off fast. cardio will burn off fat and muscle, so keep the wt lifting. wt lift 2x a week total body. break it up in 2 to 4 days if u wish. take the next day off if u do total body lifting. the scale wont be an accurate measurement since muscle weighs more then fat. u will put on muscle before u will burn off fat. so clothing fit is more accurate.

You can track your eating, how many calories you burn, where you burn the most, what you burn naturally, etc. Plus it'll break down how much you need to lose each week to get your goals.
i work out at curves.. they do all of that for you :lazy: haha oxymoron

Well, it's been about 5 weeks since I've recovered from the flu, and the last 3 weeks I've been doing a fair bit of lifting and some cardio (I was basically sedentary prior to New Year's). So I've managed to keep it off so far. Only time will tell. *crosses fingers*

Exactly. I'm making more of a lifestyle change.

yes...it's all about making a lifestyle change. ive posted this numerous times before, saying diets dont work. as soon as the diet ends, the weight comes back. as an ex-fatty i practice what i preach.
