That's actually pretty reasonable. I've only had to do one on the Vigor at 150K...trust me you'll know when they go. h:

well, my passenger-side did. the driver-side was still fine, i replaced it thinking that was the bad one, but i'm glad i did both anyway.

however, i think what caused it to go bad was when i smacked off a tremendous pothole with 3 other people in the car. two large bubbles developed in my kumho 712s due to that, which is why i later switched to the MXs. aside from that, the 712s actually still had some life. and a bit later, the bearings started to hum, and eventually got loud as hell. like shawn said, you'll know. :chuckles:

so yeah, those were the two "big" things since 90k, the bearings, and the radiator. not bad at all, if you ask me.

edit > almost forgot about the exhaust. three "big" things...

looking at that list again, i noticed i didn't switch out my kumhos during the winter of '01-'02. that winter was mild as hell. :chuckles:

How was it changing out the wheel bearings...you have to get them pressed in and out right?

yep. fortunately for me, my fiancee's dad is a diesel mechanic, so he has access to things like a hydraulic press. so we pulled out the knuckle, and brought it by his shop to swap the bearing. there is just no way i could have done it on my own. the press is a must.

i also remember we had a bitch of a time seperating the axle from the knuckle/bearing on the driver side. i'm not sure why, but i'm going to guess 9 or so winters - at that point - probably had something to do with that.

Great, it sounds like I'm going to have a good time. I'll probably do the brakes while I'm down there too.

edit: Where did you buy all that stuff?

www.rockauto.com

shipping was more expensive than i would have liked, but altogether is was still signficantly cheaper than going all OEM from acuraautomotiveparts and certainly tons cheaper than getting the parts from the dealer.

eh, i wouldnt say youre ASKING for it, you just won't get any sympathy if it does snap
i replaced mine at about 93k and went ~125k before replacing it again a couple months ago. the guy i took it to was still trying to tell me the belt was fine but i went ahead and did it anyway just to be on the safe side.
