PS3 delayed because of catastrophic unit failure?
an overheating PSU isn't the only thing that can kill a unit. processors that aren't sufficiently cooled can easily fry. yeah i know.. "thanks, captain obvious."
anyway, this could all very well be BS, no one is saying it's indeed fact, but it definitely is something to watch.
btw, where did you read that 4000 developer units have been shipped?

MS has been going heavily after the grassroots marketing recently as "anonymous ex employees" of various partner companies.
rumors are the MOST retarding thing i have heard. seriously, cooling delaying until 07? no freaken way, the ps2 (i think) is the best cooled system (i had mine on for 2 weeks straight and still ran fine after i unpaused it) so i dont think the ps3 could be that fucked up. its something minor, gamestop fags dont know wtf they are talking about. im waiting for sony to say something. there is really NO point listening to other people who dont know wat they are saying. i think microsoft has something to do with this rumor :squint:

but anyway, i just wanted to add.. Sony is pretty cutthroat. i wouldn't put it past them to fire an entire team. in fact, i swear i'd read about them doing that in the past.
anyway, i'm just playing devil's advocate here.

i remember though that the PS1 DID have serious overheating issues. i remember having to rest my PS1 upside down to get it to work.
