saw hostel last night.... liked it.... 1st 1/3 (boobies) 2nd 1/3 (gore/torture) 1/3 (revenge) .... notice the lack of story line and character development... if u go in expecting to see 70 1 minute torture scenes and 20 1 minute booby scenes....ur set

i saw it last night and it was ok, doesnt really have a good storyline. definalty worth a rent, i wouldnt waste my money on going to the movies to see it tho.

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. RENT IT. I was expecting to be scared in a way...i was more or less stupified by the amounts of unnecessary gore....there's gore...and then there's this

 

Thats about what I figured.

After hearing others I assumed the only draw was tits and poorly constructed gratuitous violence. Add that to nearly no storyline and you pretty much get a newer version of Dusk til Dawn which was horribly laughable at best.

Im still trynna figure out some of the movie...id expect this as a dutch foreigh film...I dont even know why tarantino Endorsed this. But you are right...it's nothing but tits and i wouldnt even say vilolence....just unnecessary slicing and dicing...I think they were just out to make a snuff type film and call it a day

Yeah it has become the new trend in horror for the bigger guys in volved in it.

Basically they buy a script for some chump change through a third party (keeps the price down on the purchase), then rewrite it a bit using some hack who barely can type between coke binges, then scam up a decent budget and get no name actors (actually no names are a must for horror), underpay them but keep them high as you brew up buckets of blood and random ways to skew camera angle and away you go.

The general public eats this shit up because they forget they are watching a movie which is supposed to have a plot and some dialogue in order to add strength to the killings. Too much dialogue and you get a weak movie such as Scream, too little and no character development and you get a movie such as Jeepers Creepers. Yet these movies still make millions ans Siskel and Roper still give it a thumbs up
