Whenever they brought the blitz, it was either up the middle, or from one side...and always picked up by the tail/fullbacks. They also should've put a spy on Vince, who would be responsible for following his ass everywhere. They gave him wayyyyyyy too much space to run. It was more the defensive play calling by Pete Carroll IMO, than the defense itself...aside from the tackling.
With Vince's arm, having the safety's blitz will leave alot more room for him to get the ball to more prospective receivers, I think that they should have spread there defense better, rather than pressuring him, have the LB's covering flats.

Edit: Really? about the niners? man im not up to date on the picks yet.

anyways, in N.O. their last QB was just like Young ... they're not going to do that again. M.L. is off to the big easy.

The tiebreaker is strength of schedule...

So:

1. Houston
2. NO
3. Tennessee
4. NYJ
5. Green Bay
6. Oakland
7. SF

They didn't get any pressure on him really. The defensive line never really got penetrated, and since he was winning the game with his feet, I'd blitz from both sides. Make him throw the ball, instead of just walking everywhere he wanted to go. A spy on him would have been a great idea.

Basically, yeah. They need help everywhere. I'm reserving judgement on Alex Smith until a few games into next season...but the O-line is terrible, defense is so-so, running game is meh, they need a good TE, and another good receiver go go with Lloyd.

Yeah, that was fucking huge. And not punting on 4th down...make them go the full length of the field, dont give em a headstart. I'll give credit where it's due though, Vince is a gamer.
