considering this swap... opinions?
ive been saving up for a jdm b18c for a while now, and i finally have enough money. so i was planning on swapping one in spring time. however, i found someone selling a usdm b18c with the following mods:
head was JUST rebuilt
OEM valve seals
OEM valve guides
SUPERTECH FLat top valves
SUPERTECH 70lb dual valve springs
SUPERTECH titanium retainers
3 angle valve job
milled .004
skunk2 intake manifold
ARP head studs
stock bottom end
ACT HDSS clutch / PROLITE flywheel
tranny shifts FLAWLESSLEY
comes with axles
shift linkage
ITR exhaust manifold
comes with OBD2B wiring harness
OBD2B/ OBD1 jumper harness
OBD1 P72 ECU
APEXi VAFC
all for 3200 picked up he said its already wired to fit in my 00 ex, because that is what he had it in... should i buy this or just wait and buy a jdm b18c from HMO.
any suggestions are welcome!

The differences between the JDM B18C1 and the USDM B18C1 are very minor. I don't know why people always want the JDM bling motor. Just do the USDM swap, sounds like a decent deal

How many miles are on it?
If theres not too many miles and you can trust him, I'd say go for it.
Where would you get it if you didn't buy it from him?
I was looking online a while ago and the cheapest I could find it was about 4500 without axels.

he said the head was rebuilt a few weeks ago (hes in the process of sending me reciepts) and the rest had about 65k on it.
now, when asking for receipts, what all should i ask for?
and, i dont know much info on the following:
"SUPERTECH FLat top valves
SUPERTECH 70lb dual valve springs
SUPERTECH titanium retainers
3 angle valve job
milled .004"
could someone explain what this does to the engine or give me a link that would explain it. thats one thing ive never looked up on is the milling and valve jobs and stuff

3-angle valve job means a CNC machine was used to create a bigger "squish" area for the valves to hold the air/fuel mixture, making it more efficient.
A milled head is when they shave the head down, in this case .004", to bump the compression just slightly. Usually you need adjustable cam gears to retard the timing with the higher compression. Make sure he has these, and an aftermarket head gasket is usually a good idea too.

For receipts, I'd find out where the machine work was done, then do some investigation to make sure it's a reputable shop. Also receipt for all the parts can't hurt either.

alright, he said its got a new oem headgasket (which will be on the receipts) and oem cam gears, he said, the compression change wasnt so drastic to need cam advancement/retard
is that right?
