Default off season baseball

I hate when boston improves

supposedly getting Josh beckett and Mike Lowell from the marlins for 3 minor leaguers

Mike Lowell will be a monster at 3rd in Fenway and if Beckett stays healthy we have seen what he can do

that's one hell of a deal. FL is dumping its entire team to rebuild, so they're on a complete fire sale.

The White Sox are looking to pick up Jim Thome from the Phi. for CF Aaron Rowand and Jose Contreras or Brandon McCarthy. I heard that on ESPNAM this morning and almost threw up.

i seriously wonder what alot of these teams are thinking. Florida is getting raped in their deal and the whitesox would be giving up WAAAAY to much for a 35 year old injury plagued 1st basemen/DH

the White Sox stepped away from the power hitters ... only to get another one back?! That makes no sense at all. Rowand plays the outfield so damn well ... Contreras is coming into his prime ... McCarthy has some wicked stuff. If you wanted a near crippled 1B/DH, why not resign Frank Thomas?

The Cubs are in serious negotiations with FL for Juan Pierre too.

I'm nt too worried. In Beckett's best season he has only won 15 games. He is a decent pitcher but not an ace.

yea the white sox win and then regress back to the old days.

I dont understand Florida's thinking tho. they basically give away Beckett and Lowell but yet try to get the world for Juan Pierre. WTF

Yea but he is young and the only thing holding him back so far has been injuries and minor ones at that. He is a solid pitcher right now with the good to be a stud who most definately will help out boston.
Heres to hoping he pulls a javier Vazquez or Matt Clement :fawk:
