prescription medicine rant

thanks guys for the adivce. i just called my insurance company and yes zyrtec is one of the more expnsive drugs taht they do not cover with out the doctor giving a reason for why i "need" zyrtec.

as for the mail order medications, i can get that but again to get either zyrtec or allegra, i would still need the doctor prior authorization before they can start shipping me the meds.

so i picked up my perscription and guess what was in the bag, no not zyrtec or allegra but hydroxyzine. wtf is that you ask, well i dont know either, but it caused some dizziness, small headache and somewhat of a "high" type of feeling, so i only took that one pill. not sure if i should take the recomended dosage of 3-4 per day.

It's an older allergy medication. The bad thing about these older generation anti-histamine is that it causes those severe side effects.

i stick with clarinex.. it's expensive but it does it's job 3 times better than anything else i've tried
