Default Painting spoiler,, need some advice.

I went to 4 local car places to get a quote on how much it will cost to paint my m3 style lip.
Nothing big to paint.
The smallest quote I got was 225.00. I was like get the F*** out of here. No way am I paying that. I didnt check shea stadium because that specific car shop was closed.
So I went to pep boyz and bought my own paint which so far cost me 14.60.

I bought a can of

Clear Coat
Spray Primer
and NH-623m car spray paint _ satin silver

So far its looking good.
The only problem is in one little corner the paint is bubbling up. I might have to re-sand that side.

These are the things i bought

So far i've primed it and painted it. I used my sisters blow dryer to heat it up a bit. In about 2 hours imma spray some clear coat and see how it comes out.

?...how can I fix that bubbling if it doesnt go down? Should I re-sand it, apply primer, paint , clear coat?

The only thing I painted was my solo baric subwoofer grill which came out good. this is how it came out

this is the picture of the bad corner. Its about say 3 inches long

the rest is nice and smooth.

you sprayed too fast, give at least 15 minutes between coats to prevent running. I'd rather go to Maaco and get low end paint than spraying it with Duplicolor. Duplicolor will show fading and discoloration in a few months.

Yes, sand it down good, prime and respray.

My buddy got an aftermarket grill for his Monte, it's about 3-4" tall and 8" wide, they quoted him the same price to paint that as they did you for your spoiler. shops are a rip off!

dunk the spray cans in warm water. it will spray thinner, thus preventing runs.

actually, thinner paint will run easier.

it is the way you spray and the humidity/temp of the atmosphere that has a big factor too.

Something thinner sounds like it will run more easily.....:uhhok:

I am no paint expert, but if you just spray in thin layers and allow for the proper in between time, you should be ok. :dunno:
