this coming from a man living in a city where one of the largest chokes in baseball history (behind last years ALCS) was blamed on one poor nerdy fan grabbin a foul ball :db:

I agree with statement one...

Statement 2 both the Red Sox and Indians will have a record of 94-68 if they each win one game this weekend...how is the Wild Card determined?

Statement 3 If the Yankees take 2 of 3 they win the East...if the Sox take 2 of three they force a 1 game playoff in the Bronx Monday afternoon.

Not sure I can say all sports because arguments can certainly be said about the Canadiens in Hockey and the Celtics & Lakers in Basketball, however, the Yankees are certainly the best team in the history of baseball and being in a rivalry with them for so long is incredible. That is the best rivalry in ALL of sports.
