^ yeh, i can handle beer much better. i drank skyy friday night.. i did start pretty early, 4, but i was passed out by 8:30-9 oclock. that kinda made me shy away from it even more.
I wouldn't say counting your drinks is what's important.
Your drinking habits should NOT effect anything around you. You shouldn't miss work. You shouldn't abuse anyone. You shouldn't be late on bills. You shouldn't drive. You shouldn't miss school. (so on)
The second booze starts impacting other areas of your life, then you have a problem.
:stupid: I used to drink 1/2 a bottle of Jack a night, every night. It started impacting all aspects of my life. I had a problem. With help from friends I quit drinking entirely for 6 mos. After that I started drinking beer only and only on weekends (Fri and Sat). Eventually I started drinking hard alcohol again but only on weekends and not to excess. Now (20 yrs later) I drink whatever I want, whenever I want and have control over it. I was lucky (to have some good friends) and smart (I realized I had a problem early) and was able to kick the habit and regain control.
