You have to be pretty immature. I could see if he was being asked his opinion on things. Nobody asked nor wanted to know. He's suppose to be helping, but he's creating a divide.

It would be nice if we could all say things without consequences. He will be exonerated, because you can be a "musical artist" today and just utter crap--the audience is eating it up. Hell, he'll even be made into a hero.

It's hard to believe that the government isn't trying to do things. People are tired, hungry, and scared--and their anxiety is making them very irrational. I couldn't say that I wouldn't be complaining that the relief isn't enough if I were in the situation, but I think everybody is trying to work as quick as possible and get these people help. It takes time.

Now, Bush...don't know. Don't really care. I don't think he can do much anyway. There's no magic wand that the president gets. I don't like the guy, but you can't take cheap shots. The guy has done enough stupid things...

Have you noticed that alot of famous and non-famous minorities use that as an excuse alot? Something happens to them and everyones racist all around them. If a minority gets shot in a drive by or a robbery or by accident then its a racist act.

Its true I guess there is more that Bush could do, but its mainly the lack of preparation. Before the hurricane hit they could have been handing out supplies or had the National Guard ready to go the moment it started to die down but they didn't.

When I lived in Shorewood, WI I would get pulled over because I looked suspicious, and I dont look like the type of person who would live around there. I even had to stop driving through Whitefish Bay to get on the freeway because of the same reason. Would I be wrong in calling that racism?

George Bush doesn't care about black people? That's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Uh, really the responsibility for being unprepared is more on the Mayor of New Orleans, and the Governor of Louisiana. See, the way it generally works, the Governor of the state in question declares a state of emergency, then the Feds get in the game. The Mayor should have been telling people to get the fuck out of there(Baton Rouge is where that asinine soundbite was recorded, I believe) before. If they were too poor, or stupid to leave, they should have taken some minimal steps. Keep a few gallons of water handy, maybe some cans of tuna fish or jars of peanut butter, whatever. If you live in Cali, look in your phone book. There is something in there regarding what you should have, just in case an earthquake hits and your lights are out for a few days. Sure, this is a tragic situation, but by no means is it the responsibiity of the president. You may hate him, but he has plenty on his plate already. Some might say, but he has been on vacation for a month. My response to this would be, "If you honestly believe that the President of the United States of America takes a month completely off from work, I have some property to sell you in Mississippi."
