They said something like 60-80% of the homes in N.O. will be destroyed if Cat5 winds hit the city. Most of the commercial buildings will be severely damaged. After the storm passes, they'll have a stagnant pond in the city, with sewage and coffins throughout. They don't even know if the dome where the shelter is set up will sustain Cat5 winds.

My little brother went to Tulane his freshman year, transferred to American University in DC for this, his sophomore year.

I recall about this time last year Tulane shut down for some hurricane and my brother had to fly home but nothing ended up happening.

Guess he's lucky he transferred, cuz who knows if Tulane will still be there.

My prayers out to all in the LA area. We got beaten here. the cat 1 at the time did the damage of cat 2-3s and flooded the hell outta MIA.

Death Valley, CA is the lowest point in the US, not New Orleans.

Although Death Valley doesn't have to worry about big ass hurricanes knocking down it's doors though either. It's just hot.
