The news says its the 4th largest hurricane on record. They said if you have a wooden home in New Orleans, its going to be demolished.

I feel really sad for everyone living there and for the city. An estimated 20-25 thousand people will die in New Orleans from the hurricane. The same amount of people are in the Super Dome, which they aren't even sure can hold from the wind. The French block or section is estimated to be completely demolished, yet people are refusing to leave and staying to drink or because they can't afford to leave. They showed a building from the 1820s that is expected to be demolished. There is so much history in that city that will be completely destroyed.

Yep, I been to New Orleans and there are so many historical buildings in that area. It'll be very sad to see all of them go.

I hope they have a good plan for the people who can't afford to leave :happysad:

I had no idea it would be so strong. Last time I checked, people weren't projecting anything major, like a category 2 at most. Good luck.

Well, be protected during the storm, 160+ mph winds can really carry things around very fast.. good luck
