thats why big trucks (like 18 wheelers) shift so slow. their trannys are unsynchronized, becuase it is more heavy duty or something...is their an advantage on our modern synchronized trannys?? usually i use kentons second method.

just drive slow and save ur tranny from wear and tear
It's really not that hard to match it perfect or near perfect everytime with practice, especially when not braking. If I am in a good mood I can pull off multiple seamless downshifts while braking, it just takes practice.
