Where did you go? My girlfriend flew out to Detroit in June to meet me and we went on a 3 day trip staying in Toronto, Montreal (also visited Ottawa) and then Acadia Park in Maine. I think it was about 1800 miles total, but I didn't really keep track.

i'd consider it a road trip when you leave the state.

longest trip i've taken was from socal to south carolina. ~2600miles in 3 days (one way), and that's only because we slept too much.

also took a trip to texas from az for a concert in dallas. took me 21 hours to get there and 24 hours to get back.

my mom and i have gone to tempe, arizona just for lunch before. leave in the morning, get there for lunch, drive back that night.

i need to go on another road trip.

Well as you know I drive through it a lot, but spending time there was something new...the people were a lot nicer than I expected. I didn't get any negative reactions even as far north as Ottawa even though I was plainly American. It was really cool...I'd definitely do it again, but I need to see all the sights around here first.

Canadians are generally polite and like you as long as you are the same. We just get pissed at Americans such as Bill O'Reily who paint us (unfairly) as dirty red pinko commies.
