in certian games advertisments are that bad, it adds to the realism like in Grand Turismo. if they were to puts ads in God of War, I'd be really pissed.

by the way have any of you noticed that the NRA has an ad on one of the tracks. I was racing by it and though I was seeing things, but the National Rifle Assoication actually has an ad in GT4.

oh, i totally agree with you there. however, the way it's done in SWAT4 is just wrong. especially since they're tracking what you are specifically looking at, and logging it for future use. i expect many more games to implement this.

not sure how you mean, but id software developed both of those. advertising your upcoming games upon exiting a demo or shareware version (which is what id software often did), is no problem in my book.

dude, that's totally different anyway. it's not like id was expecting to make sales from that. especially since wolfenstein was old news with the advent of doom. i'm sure it was more of an inside joke, after all, the same exact guys coded both games.

I heard tony hawk games are implimenting this. thankfully they can't do anything this twisted on platform games yet. I have a feeling that with the next gen consels that have wi-fi capability we will see more of this, unless there is a huge backlash from the gaming community and gamers as a whole boycott a game.
