If I do really good on my SATs the 2nd time do you think that will help a lot as far as getting into college? Im just starting to freak out as I have one more year left and I have to start applying soon. I mean are there any schools that accept a GPA close to mine?

Just asking for a lil help.

A few months back, I spoke about how I didn't give a damn about HS and needed some time to find my calling before heading back into college. So I won't waste your time to go through all of that again.

In a nutshell, don't go crazy over your SAT / ACTs.
Life will not end if you don't get into an Ivy League university straight out of HS. If my experience at College of Marin is any example, you'll save money taking the General Education courses at a Community College.

The key is to stay on track and make progress toward your goal at a rate that you can sustain.

Don't fall into the chasm of retail "purgatory".
It can suck the life right out of you -- if you let it.

College for the masses isn't about learning, its about having something to put on your job application.

I've been in retail hell throughout my college career- during CC and university. I managed to keep school the number one priority, but its not easy.

Well employers see a degree in a certain field as better...but overall they just want to see that you made the 4 (or more) year commitment to make it through college.

SAT score only helps to negate GPA if you get a really good score. For example I got a case of senioritis some time my junior year and when it came to apply I think my GPA was hovering right at 3.0 maybe a little lower. But I got a 1450 on my SATs and I still got in to all the schools I applied to: Northwestern, Washington University (the private one, in St. Louis), University of Wisconsin, University of Maryland, American University, Clemson.

Maybe I wrote good essays. :dunno:
