So they would not get sued. There are about 150,000 people who want refunds too. There are a ton of tracks in North America that would be suitable for GP racing, beats the heck out of friggin nascar

Well, this is the first year that they've had the rule about the one set of tires lasting the whole race. And the only place Michelin could've tested the tire was on this track. It's not too hard to see how this problem occurred.
What a big disappointment. This is really a shitty impression of F1 for the US fans, and I can understand everyone being angry...but those dumbf*cks that are throwing shit onto the track need to be arrested.

I've talked to a couple guys who attended this GP as their first... Left a sour impression of the series, a lot of disappointment. Seems like very few people in the grandstands understood what was going on.

I sense a rules change about tires coming. The backlash from the U.S. F1 audience may not have shown itself fully yet. I was really hoping that F1 and Le Mans type races would start taking off again like they did in the 60's, but that may not be happening any time soon...

Oh, they'll get sued alright. They may have fulfilled their contractual obligation with FIA or the track owner, but I bet a lawyer brings a class action on behalf of the fans. I would.

Nobody needs another Senna style accident(thats how he died)

On another note, F1 in the U.S. is fucked. The fans are royally pissed, and this race was a completely dishonour to Senna, Clark, Fangio and all the other dead F1 giants.

I think Bernie Ecclestone(if theyre not overthrown somehow) should get on the horn to Kevin Khalokoven and see if F1 can use the Long Beach track.

I don't think F1 is done in the US or in Indy. I wouldn't be surprised if turn 13 remains unchanged next year, since IMS still has another year left on their contract with the FIA. People shouldn't be blaming the track, the drivers, the teams, or the management. Blame Michelin for not being prepared. They brought an inferior and unsafe product to the GP and couldn't get a replacement in time. If 6 cars were on Michelins and 14 on Bridgestones, would things be different? Think about it.

That's great. I saw an interview on Speed of one of the CART drivers (christiano Damata I think) and he said that CART would be honoring all F1 Indy tickets at their race that Sunday (I forget the track). I thought that was interesting if not a lightly disguised desperate attempt to boost CART attendance.
