You can buy if afterwards if you still want it I think and it's going to be a lot cheaper. :dunno:

That's what you would make in payments anyway. But you would still come out better buying it. Because you could buy one, drive it 3 yrs, and sell it for more than you owe on it (WALK AWAY WITH MONEY). Which is better than leasing for 3 yrs, and giving it back. Plus you don't have to worry so much about mileage, and get knit picked for every little worn attribute like returning a leased car. Anything they have to do to get the car in showroom condition again, you will be charged for (tires, windsheild cracks, small scratches, etc)

can u have a contract to lease with intentions of buying afterwards..
i just figured if u spend $300/month and have nothing to show after that. u minus well save up and shell out a few hundred more for keeps.
unless ur the type that gets a new car every year, then depreciation wont get ya if u lease :dunno:

i've not seen a lease where you can't buy it after the terms end or even in the middle of the term.

however this is not the best way to lease. the cap reduction cost is money that goes right out of your pockets the day you sign on the dotted line. best way is to do a multiple security deposit. say 5 $600 deposits. that will reduce the lease payment amount and you will get the money back if you intend to buy the car. you will still be out of the money but it's not down the drain.

No.

The point of a lease is to have a lower monthly payment while the car is in your posession, assuming you plan to get rid of it at the end of the lease period.

Generally if you buy a car out at the end of a lease you pay more than if you just financed to begin with. The only good reason to lease with intention to buy is if you want to get the car at that point in time and can't afford the payment, and are willing to pay more in total for the ability to have the lower payments during the lease period.

I mean cheaper than buying one new, the price of it will go down because it is 3 years old. Overall you end up paying more, but at least you have the peace of mind that the used car was in your possesion the whole time and you can get rid of it and be done with it if you don't like it after 3 years. Or what you said, I would assume you would end up paying more with a lease and then buying it because otherwise everyone would do that.

I would rather pay an extra $100 a month and put no money out of pocket, and get 15000 miles per year.
