So in Canada they welcome illegal aliens, hmmm news to me. If you read the entire thread, it is more about them being here illegally. I can guarantee it is a much smaller problem in Canada. Besides, with your socialized medicine, the people who can afford to do so, go to the US for heart surgery and that sort of thing, but that is off topic.

Canada recieves nowhere near the scale amount of illegal immigrants that the US does on a daily basis. So you are comparing apples and oranges...try again some other time

Also NAFTA is a Free Trade Agreement. It actually helped Mexico sunstancially agriculturally (sp). Its cheaper for US companies to grow their products in Mexico because of the cheaper labor. The Free Trade Agreement means that they get that product back into the country duty free. That means American farmers loose jobs.

nobody welcomes illegal aliens but as soon as they are here we won't deport them if they are sick or injured they'll get medical attention first. your right are healthcare benefits poor people more than anyone, but noone should be refused treatment if they need it. people go to the states for different surgeries because in canada everyone is treated equal you can't get in quicker if your rich unless you go to a not for profit private hosiptal. look it all the people you guys have who buy medicine off us because its cheaper, we don't try stopping them from doing it just Bush does.

Canada would be trying to stop it if it intensified. Canada has a cap on how much drug companies can charge for their products.

Well no shit sherlock that would be the single most obvious thing I have heard said yet in this thread but obviously it hasn't been happening.

Also it is not just the current administrations fault it has been happening and building for much longer than you have been alive most likely.

i don't think we would, we would just make sure every in canada has enough medicine and not sell as much. the only people that have tried to stop have been drug companies and one of president Bush's croonies

I could swear I typed english in a comprehensive way:thinking:

What I meant is it has been a growing problem for many more years than just recently. It has been an ongoing problem for the US since I can remember pretty much. It used to be the US was much more lenient about immigrants, then in the 70s or so they took a more "hard line approach" to try and slow it down and stop it. As you can see it has not slowed down and has actually escalated the problem to some extent because the steps they have taken have been redundant and inneffective. Add to this the growing economic problems in many countries and it means the sheer numbers trying are forcing larger numbers through.

so in effect instead of 100 trying daily and 2 making it daily, the new numbers look more like 1000 trying daily and 100 making it daily (just example).
