remember the E36 M3 has a lot of maintenance issues which are sure to come up...gets really expensive. right now mine is burning a quart of oil every 400 miles and my coolant is started to disappear again after i replaced all the parts (radiator, water pump, thermostat, and head gasket). there are also a few problems with the rear suspension like worn out shock mounts and rear trailing arm bushings. the tranny mounts suck and tend to get worn causing the notorious money shift if driven too hard. the list goes on and on, be careful in your search for an M. good luck LT.

personally im with DakarMaul, i would totally get an ITR or an S2000.

Honestly if you don't mind driving your Jeep and only your Jeep for a while, I would do that and save up for something else down the road. No point making a big purchase right out of school if you haven't established yourself financially yet. Especially since this time right out from school you should use to save up money before you start having to pay back student loans (those usually give you 6 months after graduation til you have to start paying them, which I'm assuming is true in your case).

Hey, at least I'm not saying to save up for a house.

i agree, but finding an itr with low miles is one thing, and finding one thats not messed up yet is another.

the jeep....i don't see that lasting much longer since the passenger floorboard is rotting through with rust - too far to save it. also it has 197K miles on it.

you are right but it could be done. the s2000 is a great car but and i would to have one but its practicality is kind of limited and im sure some owners can attest to that.

I second the M3...My options are either mid 90's M3 or a S2000..I think I could find a decent M3 for 12k. fast..sexy..and payed for..thats what you want...M3 is fast( hell yeah) sexy( nice luxury) and you wont be stuck with payments if you do your shopping right..M3 is your best bet ,bud.

if it were me, id get an s2k.

but you seem to have a liking for rx7's and m3's.... so i guess the question would be not what car to get but which car to get :dunno:

and if that was me, even though i am slightly biased against bmw, id get the Rx7.
