maintence wise, and maybe hybrid can back me on this
amount of maintence needed.
s2000<m3
i know this isnt 100% true, but age wise, you might have a 4-5 year differrence on these 2 cars.

i searched for an S2 for a year and read all i could about it. the only thing i can recall off hand as a problem is the 3rd gear grind which is covered under warranty and was later remedied by Honda.

you're looking at atleast 20k to get one in good condition. 17k will usually get a salvaged one with low miles, i'd be very careful with a salvaged (wrecked) s2k.

the grind is only for S2K's between the years 2000-2001.
AP1s also have weak differentials from what I hear from a couple of my friends. You can't have a perfect car.


And yes, the E36 M3's maintenance can get horrendus compared to a Honda.
